Leonid Elenin has been recently awarded by Edgar Wilson Award!
Leonid Elenin became one of the Edgar Wilson Award laureates. He has been awarded for comet C/2010 X1 (Elenin) discovery.
Since 1998 the present award has been given by the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory to amateur astronomers for comets’ discoveries that were named after their discoverers during the given period. Leonid Elenin became first Russian amateur astronomers, who received such a prestigious award.
CoLiTec (CLT) team wants to send its warmest greetings to Leonid with recognition of his merits in discovery of Solar system small bodies and wish him to receive this award again many times in future!
